The Longer Story…

Stacey Lindsay is a journalist and writer who has spent her career interviewing global thought leaders about making sense of the lives we lead and the lives we seek. She is the consulting senior editor and editorial director of various digital publications—one being Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper. Known for her endless curiosity and warmth, she has formally interviewed hundreds of public figures, civilians, artists, iconoclasts, veterans, founders, seekers, and visionaries on spirituality, health, wellness equity, pro-aging, civics, societal identity, art, workplace culture, historiography, and more. Some of the giants she has spoken with and profiled include Melody Beattie, Norma Kamali, Julie and John Gottman, Phil Stutz, Katherine May, Dr. Temple Grandin, Kara Lawson, Erin Brockovich, Nyjah Huston, Sharon Salzberg, Savannah Guthrie, Dr. Nedra Tawwab, Elin Hilderbrand, Dr. Krishnendu Ray, Jeffrey Marsh, Margareta Magnusson, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Turshen, Pico Iyer, Jay Shetty, Anna Quindlen, Melissa Gilbert, Sean Malto, Debbie Gibson, the late Sietze Vanderheide, Jay Nixon, Terry Real, Mitch Albom, and Liam Neeson.

Stacey has ghostwritten two books, one published and one soon-to-be published by major publishing houses, and she is at work on her first book. She has also been and continues to be the host of various podcasts and is an occasional beauty and design writer. Previously, she was a longtime editor at goop, where she was instrumental in building new editorial franchises, including Game Changers and The Good Samaritan, that focused on people pushing forward humanity. Before goop, Stacey served as an evening TV news anchor and reporter in the Four State region. Breaking various stories about humanity, she dived deep into the topics of the veteran healthcare crisis, the disappearance of small-town America, the plight of local factory workers, the rising cost of food, and more. Her Sunday newscast received some of the highest ratings in the region.

Prior to the news, she worked with the late and legendary James Caan as his associate producer and right hand. For years they traveled the globe for his film and producing projects. To this day, Jimmy is her greatest mentor. She began her career in New York City working for Magnolia Pictures.

She has a B.A. in media studies from Emerson College and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder. One of her favorite pre-career moments was interning at WBZ-4 Boston, where she got to work alongside Sharyn Alfonsi. Originally from the South Shore of Massachusetts, she spends her days fascinated by the seemingly smallest things.

Stacey is an advocate for veteran support and held a longtime board member position for Compass Quest Veterans Group.
